Safe Return to Classes
We are so excited to starting to bring all the fun of Tots Play to you face to face once again.
Dates for this vary by area so click HERE to find your local classes where you will either find dates and details of available classes or be able to register your interest. You will also find the contact details for your local class leader, who will be happy to help with any questions or concerns.
We are already seeing a high level of demand, so do make sure you register for your place as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
At Tots Play our overall aim is for your experience with us to be safe, beneficial and enjoyable for all. We have very much missed bringing classes to you face to face and have worked hard to put a range of measures in place to be able to deliver our classes to you in person from our community venues that is safe, follows prevailing government guidance and that also remains fun, inclusive and supportive for everyone taking part.
Here is an overview of what you can now expect when you join us at a class.
It’s been assessed for a range of possible risks.
Our franchisees are working closely with their venues to make sure that each one has been assessed for potential risks arising from COVID-19 in addition to their regular risk assessments.
Class activities and procedures have also been assessed and amended as required to minimise the risks associated with them. What that means is that…
Class Activities may be a little different (but no less fun!)
We have reviewed and amended all of our class plans to enable you to enjoy the activities in your own space, and either with your own equipment or equipment being cleaned/sanitised between uses.
The sensory and exploratory play sections of the classes will look a little different and we will use backing music to accompany activities to reduce singing or the need for raised voices.
Class times may also be a little shorter to make sure there is plenty of time between classes for one group to leave before the next arrives and for cleaning of key touch points and equipment.
There will be space for you to play safely
In some venues class numbers may be reduced in order to allow space for everyone to stay a safe distance apart, and social distancing will be encouraged for all activities.
We ask that only one adult per family attends class to keep overall numbers to a minimum.
Hygiene is our top priority
You will be asked to wash and/or sanitise your and your child’s hands when you enter class and avoid sharing equipment or props with other families during the session.
Individual equipment will be supplied (with the exception of some of the larger equipment particularly at Action Tots classes), and there will also be opportunity to purchase some of the items we use regularly in class, such as scarves, instruments and ribbon rings, so you have and can use your own resources and take these home with you. These will be available from your class leader, or you can order via our online store.
All equipment, props and resources will be cleaned/sanitised after each use, as well as guidelines being followed for any additional cleaning required at each of our venues.
We will be keeping everything under review
As you know, things are changing quickly and we’ll be keeping all our procedures under review as time goes on, adapting or changing them as needed.
While all these things are aimed at keeping you safe, it is not possible to eliminate risk completely, in particular with regard to COVID-19, so by attending any or our classes or events you acknowledge that you do so at your own risk.
Please do make sure you have read our terms and conditions for attending classes too before coming along and only attend if your child and everyone in your family is well. These can be found HERE.
We can’t wait to welcome you back
If you have any questions or concerns about attending classes with us, please do speak to your local class leader who will be pleased to help.
Online classes will continue from some class leaders for those unable or not yet wanting to attend classes in person, and there are also online courses available with class sessions to enjoy in your own time. More details of these can be found HERE or ask your class leader for further information.
Thanks so much for all the fantastic support you have given us over the last few months - without this we wouldn't be able to have continued and be in a position to bring classes back to you in your community now.
See you for more play time soon!
