Job Title: Franchise Support Manager

Location: Rogerstone, Newport

Salary: £28,000 pro rata

We all need to feel supported.  At Tots Play, our award-winning programme of developmental play classes are all about supporting babies, toddlers and their parents or carers and helping them to have a positive experience of the early weeks, months and years of being a young family. Our franchise programme focuses on supporting our network of franchisees to create the business and lifestyle they aspire to as they deliver these classes and services in their community.

Operating from our Rogerstone based head office, we are a family run company, with over 40 franchisees across the UK, each of whom runs their own, independent business, under our umbrella.

 

Making sure our franchisees are cared for and have what they need to effectively run and grow their businesses mean that they are able to offer a better service to their customers as well as reaching more of them, which is why the role of franchise support manager is such an important one.

 

As our network of franchisees continues to expand, we are now looking for a special person to take on this role, supporting and strengthening our head office team by taking responsibility for inspiring, encouraging and supporting our franchisees to meet and exceed their individual goals, while also helping to develop our wider brand presence and impact.

 

Having either previously run a business yourself, worked with small business owners in some capacity, or in a coaching, business development or account manager role, the ideal candidate for this position has an understanding of some of the challenges business owners face and a strong desire to support them on both a practical and emotional level.

About the Position 

Key tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the process of onboarding, training and launching new franchisees, following our systems and processes

  • Providing ongoing support and coaching for franchisees to help them grow and develop their business

  • Sourcing or creating appropriate training for franchisees for ongoing development and to keep their skills up to date

  • Creating and refining appropriate systems, materials and templates to support franchisee marketing and business development

  • Finding and nurturing potential franchise leads and supporting the recruitment process

  • Helping to create, develop and implement strategies to grow the core business in addition to the individual franchisee businesses

Essential Skills, Experience and Characteristics

  • Experience of working in a small business environment in a management, leadership, coaching, training, account management or business development role

  • Positive, results focused attitude and commitment to providing excellent customer service

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfortable with technology and able to quickly understand and utilise a variety of digital systems

  • Able to work independently and take initiative but also a team player with a willingness to do what is needed to meet agreed goals and objectives

  • Committed, pro-active and passionate about helping to further the Tots Play mission.

  • As an integral part of a small team, reliability, loyalty and the ability to handle a varied workload and prioritise tasks effectively are key attributes.

 

Hours and Logistics

This is a part time position, initially 18 hours per week, with the potential to increase with the growth of the business.

 

The role will be mainly based at our headquarters in Rogerstone, with some requirement to work from home and occasionally travel for meetings.

 

You will work a core number of your hours from our office during the day, with the remainder able to be worked flexibly, either from home or at the office if preferred. As part of this you will need to be available at least one to two evenings per week, and occasionally at a weekend for calls and trainings.
