Hi! I’m Lauren and I run Tots Play classes in the Lancaster area!

A little bit about me; I grew up in Lancaster area and I am lucky enough to still live here now with my partner and beautiful daughter. I'm a qualified primary school teacher and, prior to joining the Tots Play family, worked in Early Years education for many years. Early child development is something that I am really passionate about as I believe that it is those first building blocks that provide your child with the best possible start to their learning journey.

It was during maternity leave with my little girl that I first discovered my love of baby classes. I really enjoyed taking her to local groups and it was amazing seeing her develop week on week. She was becoming more sociable, more confident, more inquisitive, more mobile. Whilst brilliant for my little one, I found that the classes I attended didn’t really provide much of a chance for me to really talk to other parents, and this was something I really felt I needed as a new mum. At times I felt so lonely!

I started to research what else was out there class-wise, then I came across Tots Play. I thought it looked fantastic. Baby massage, yoga, signing, sensory and more, all in one class. Most importantly though, it was a class that also provided lots of time for parents to chat, be supported and truly be a part of a community. I was disappointed to find that there weren’t any Tots Play classes in my local area and that’s when I had my lightbulb moment - I could do that!

So here I am – now running multiple classes a week with a fabulous little team of 3. We can’t wait to meet you and your little one at one of our classes! Please rest assured that we all know all too well what it’s like as a new Mummy and want to promise you the warmest of welcomes at Tots Play as well as a fun, safe, stimulating environment for you to bond with your little one. Not only that, we will provide you with lots of exciting ideas for you to continue playing at home and help you to develop a support network of new friends all embarking on the same journey as you are.
