Hi, I’m Tara! I live in Newport, South Wales with my husband, Joe and our two daughters, Lottie and Penny.

 

My journey started with Tots Play back in 2020. I first started by bringing my eldest to Discovery Tots classes not long after THAT big lockdown. I absolutely loved our Tots Play Tuesdays, it was a breath of fresh air, a great way to get out, get to know people and for Lottie and I to have some quality time together, and of course taking ideas from class back home with us.

 

Before becoming a parent, I was a primary school teacher, working with children in Nursery and upwards. I absolutely loved working with children and their families and seeing them develop, but after becoming a mum, I knew it was time for a change in my career, but I still wanted to work with children and their families. So late 2020, my maternity leave was over and I took on the new role of Class Leader with Tots Play Newport and Cwmbran! Working a couple of days a week and still taking Lottie on my days off, I just couldn't stay away!

 

Fast forward to 2026, and with Lottie now in school and the addition of Penny (who’s been attending Tots Play since she was 2 weeks old) to our family, when the opportunity came up to take over the franchise I knew it was the perfect next step.

 

As a mum, I know just how important those early days (and onwards) are with your little ones.

 

At Tots Play Newport West and Cwmbran, you’ll find a safe, non-judgemental space for you and your baby or toddler, where you can spend quality time together, explore a wide range of activities all designed to help your little ones develop and, of course, have fun as well as becoming part of our welcoming, supportive community.

 

Our amazing class leader Corrine continues to be part of the team, and we would love to welcome you to our classes!
