Becoming a new mum is one of the most exciting and life-changing experiences you can go through, but however prepared you think you are, it can also be overwhelming, exhausting, and sometimes a little lonely. You’re suddenly responsible for this tiny new person 24/7, and while there’s so much love, there’s also a lot to figure out.
At Tots Play, we really get that early parenthood isn’t just about your baby’s development, it’s about looking after you too. It's so important because when you're feeling calm, confident, and happy, it has a huge impact on your little one. You’re their whole world, so taking care of yourself isn’t a luxury, it’s part of taking care of them.
And that's why our classes are built with both of you in mind, helping you feel supported, connected, and a little more like yourself again, as you navigate all the changes that come with having a new little one.
Here are a few reasons that our sessions aren’t only great for babies, they can give a real boost for you as a new parent too.
1. It will make leaving the house feel worthwhile
In those early days, getting out of the house can feel like a mission. But once you make it to your first Tots Play class, you’ll be so glad you did! Our sessions offer a calm, welcoming space where you and your baby can relax, enjoy special time together, and connect with other parents who are at the same stage of their babies lives as you are! No pressure, no judgement, just friendly faces and a chance to be part of something special.
2. You'll find a supportive community of like-minded parents
Parenthood can feel isolating at times, especially if your old routines or social circles don’t quite fit your new reality. Tots Play is a fantastic way to meet other parents who get it. So many of our customers tell us that the friendships they’ve made through our classes have lasted long beyond the baby stage.
3. You'll build your confidence as a parent
It’s easy to doubt yourself as a new parent, wondering if you’re doing the “right” things to help your baby develop. At Tots Play, you’ll learn simple, proven techniques you can use at home , from baby massage to tummy time, songs to sign language, giving you confidence in your ability to support your little one’s learning and development.
4. It's a chance to get away from the distractions of home
Home life is full of distractions. Laundry, dishes, cleaning, the list goes on! Our classes give you focused one-on-one time with your baby, free from those to do lists. It’s a chance to slow down, be present, and enjoy the simple joy of playing, connecting, and having fun together, so that these things become part of your routine too.
5. You'll learn simple activities you'll both love
Our classes include activities like massage and yoga that are calming and soothing for babies and surprisingly relaxing for mums, too. Many mums tell us they leave feeling lighter, calmer, and more connected to their little one. And that’s what we love to hear!
6. You'll be welcomed just as you are
Whether you’re feeling full of energy or a little wobbly on class day, at Tots Play we'll meet you where you are, and welcome you whether or not you've brushed your hair or changed out of the outfit your baby was sick on this morning. There’s no need to be “perfect” or have it all together, just come as you are, and know you’ll be met with kindness, support, and a space where you and your baby can enjoy time together in the warmth of a community where you're valued as much as your baby is.
Ready to give it a try?
So, if you're a new parent looking for a class that supports both you and your baby, we’d love to welcome you at Tots Play.
Whether it’s your first baby or your third, fourth or fifth! Our sessions are a safe, supportive place to learn, connect, and enjoy those precious early months together.
